Faithful One (for The Birth of Christ Foretold!)
As we enter this season of Christmas, we are reminded of God’s perfect timing in sending His Son, Jesus. In Galatians 4, we see that long before Jesus was born, God was preparing the world for His arrival. Through the Law
given to the Jewish people, God showed them the reality of sin and their need for a Savior. The Law wasn't just a set of rules; it was a guide to help people recognize their need for the Messiah, and all throughout the Old Testament, God painted beautiful pictures of what the Messiah would do and who He would be. From the prophecies about Jesus’ birth to the stories and celebrations that foreshadowed His life and mission, everything pointed to this moment. When Jesus finally came, He fulfilled these prophecies with perfect precision, proving that He was indeed the promised Savior.
The birth of Jesus didn’t just happen by chance; it happened at exactly the right time. And even now, centuries later, we have so much evidence to see that Jesus is the Messiah—the one who came to rescue and redeem us. This Christmas, we celebrate not only His birth but the fulfillment of God’s grand plan. It was a plan set in motion long ago, and a plan of perfect timing. As we walk through this series we will examine the Christmas story through the lens of time.
