Many of you have seen the heartbreaking news coming out of Venezuela. Two devastating earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 have left thousands dead, thousands more injured and entire communities in crisis. Families have lost loved ones, homes and access to even the most basic necessities.
Several of our trusted ministry friends are serving directly in the disaster area, providing aid and caring for those affected. We also have trusted ministry partners in Orlando who are serving as a collection center, ensuring that donated supplies are transported directly to those in need in Venezuela.
As the body of Christ, we have an opportunity to respond with compassion and generosity.
We are collecting the following emergency supplies:
Medical Supplies
Bandages
Face masks
Disposable gloves
Essential Care Items
Bed sheets (for use as stretchers and emergency bedding)
Baby diapers
Basic tools such as hammers and other hand tools
Non-Perishable Food
Bottled water
Canned food
Baby formula
Baby food
Other shelf-stable food items
Please bring your donations to the collection table in the church lobby this Sunday or during office hours throughout the week by July 30th.
Most importantly, we ask you to join us in praying. Pray for those who have lost loved ones, for those still missing, for first responders, medical workers, churches and ministry partners serving on the ground. Pray that God would provide comfort, strength and hope to those who are suffering and that the love of Christ would shine brightly even in the midst of unimaginable tragedy.
